In 25 minutes, this short sequel to GAZA A Story of Love and War, delivers three dramatic moments:
* Plaid Cymru’s Foreign Affairs spokesperson commits to building a UK parliamentary coalition to press for justice for Palestine
* Labour Foreign Secretary David Lammy declares he is “very comfortable” with UK arms support for Israel
* Sami Abu Salem, star of the earlier film, makes a heartfelt plea for an end to bloodshed.
The film is based on audience discussions following Ceredigion screenings of GAZA A Story of Love and War. Constituency MP Ben Lake reveals that no subject concerns his constituents more urgently than Gaza. He shares with the audience and film director Mike Joseph how he works at Westminster for decisive action on Israel and support for Palestinians.
At early screenings of the original film in England and Wales, audiences have expressed the urgent need to do something – ‘but what can we do?’
Reflecting this wide public concern, this film sequel is titled GAZA What do we do? It can be used in several ways:
– online on websites
– following screening of the main film, in place of a live Q+A
– following screening of the main film, to inform an extended audience Q+A
